This is the first Bulletin announcing the upcoming post-COVID conference “New Trends in High-Energy Physics”, to be held IN-PERSON in Kiev during June 26 – July 2, 2022; see: https://indico.bitp.kiev.ua/event/6/.
This series of conferences was initiated by the Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Kiev. Starting from the late 80-ies, it was held in Kiev, then it was organized in Uzhhorod (Ukraine), Sukhumi (Georgia), the Crimea (several locations), Natal (Brazil), twice in Becici (Montenegro), Odessa, and now it is coming back to Kiev (Kyiv).
The scope of the conference is broad, covering various fields of astroparticle, high-energy and nuclear physics, theory and experiment. The number of participants is limited to about 100.
The Proceedings of the Conference will be published shortly after the event in the high-quality, peer-reviewed Ukrainian Journal of Physics; see https://doi.org/10.15407/ujpe64.7 and https://doi.org/10.15407/ujpe64.8 for the last (Odessa, 2019) edition.
Entry visas to Ukraine are not required for citizens coming from most countries of Europe, Asia and America (see the site). COVID restrictions/regulations in Ukraine are typical of those internationally accepted, i.e., a certificate of vaccination or a negative COVID test will be required for entering Ukraine. We shall monitor the current (changing) quarantine situation and will comment on it in our regular bulletins.
Welcome to Kiev! We encourage you to register at your earliest convenience, but no later than January 31, 2022. On registering (see the site) please indicate the topic of the talk you wish to present.
With best regards,
Laszlo Jenkovszky (Kiev), email@example.com,
Rainer Schicker (Heidelberg)
