Description
In this talk, a notion of irregular conformal blocks in two-dimensional conformal
field theory will be presented. It is expected that such irregular conformal blocks are related to the isomonodromic tau functions of Painlevé equations. I will consider, as an example, the Painlevé I equation and give details of the relation to irregular conformal field theory.
